Community Explorations - A weekend of curiosity

  • Shetlandsgade 3, 1st floor 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

This weekend is for members and +1 only, write email to attendIn the peak of summer when days might feel endless, we gather as a community, to connect and explore. The framework for explorations will be set by our House of Play facilitators,, but what arises within it is based on the curiosity, longings, and energy of the group.

This weekend we dedicate ourselves to the collective experience of our dreams. What magic can we create when we set aside our personal desires and prioritise what we can create and explore as a group?

If there is a longing to go to the beach, how can we form a collective exploration of such a trip? What group dynamics arise if we play schoolyard, what games would we play? How do we explore the dynamics of being the insider or the outsider, looking at our positions in a space? What is the slowest, most sensuous way to peel an orange? It is all up to the curiosities of the group. The point is not to aim for any specific outcome, but rather to be open and playful in doing something together.

The primary focus of the weekend is not about performing, achieving the most, or your own personal desires, but cultivating meaningful connections and creating a sense of togetherness within the community, as well as opening up our senses and curiosity of how we engage as a collective.

Our goal is to create a warm, playful atmosphere that fosters a good soil to plant seeds and  explore together. You might plant seeds of  joy, silliness, challenges, tears, and you might feel slightly on the edge of your comfort zone. Perhaps it might just feel like a long, warm, collective hug.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This weekend is for members of House of Play (and a plus one), who are curious about co-creating more connection, playfulness, creativity, and community. Whether you are an avid House of Play goer or quite new as a member, you are welcome.

Please note, if you are not a member or the plus one of a member, you can’t attend.

CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?

Yes. No previous experience is needed. The weekend is designed to be accessible, welcoming, and adaptable to the group.

DO I NEED A PARTNER?

You can come alone, in pairs or as a group. The exercises are often practical, physical, and hands-on. You’ll be invited to work with different people in various combinations throughout the weekend, giving you the chance to co-create in a fluid, collective experience. This weekend is about making connections and as such not suitable as a partner-only experience.

She is passionate about creating playful spaces where people connect deeply with themselves and others. She embraces the awkward and weird, and also likes to go slow and deep.

Hülya (she/her) With a background in sexology and trauma-informed yoga, she is all for an embodied exploration of boundaries and desires. In the past years, she has guided yoga, co-created tantric events and facilitated workshops on conscious sexuality. She creates a compassionate space with room for everything that’s alive in you.

Björn (he/him) is a classically trained dancer, Yoga teacher and Tantra masseur, who has been moving, shaking and loving the expressions of the human body since the tender age of 4.Passionately giving Yoga and Tantra classes, trainings and workshops as well as dance experiences like Dancing Polarities and Contact Improvisation.Connecting humans more closely to themselves and each other, through movement, touch and deeper body awareness, is his mission statement and life path.

Gabrielle (they/she) is a certified trauma-informed facilitator, educator, practitioner and rope-performer in the Copenhagen kink scene. With eight years of experience in rope, play, and conscious kink, they have taught and performed at different venues and events around Europe and played a key role in opening House of Play, where they facilitate workshops, rituals, and play spaces. Their teaching focuses on consent, creativity, curiosity for new ways of looking at things and exploring your personal flavour in play – always with a sharp edge, a good dose of humor, and a mission to make kink both more conscious and less taboo.
