One Tuesday every month, Anna teaches fundamental techniques of rope practice. This is a beginner friendly class which explores a different topic or tie each month see the description of each tie below. You don’t have to join every time to benefit from this series.
This tuesday will be the Futomomo: A classic tie which places a leg in a folded position, securing and compressing the shin and upper leg with rope
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will start with learning a foundation knot for a single or double column tie, which will then be used to build the main pattern for the evening. Finally, there will be an exercise focused on connection though ropes.

The ties:
Agura
A pattern for tying the legs into a cross-legged position. A great way to learn how frictions hold ropes into place and add tension.
Arm binder
A pattern that binds the forearms together from wrist to elbow. A fun way to gain a lot of control over the tiee, but still allowing for movement and play.
Beginner gote
A beginner version of the traditional chest tie, where the tiee's hands are bound behind their back
Bunny tie
A chest tie which places the hands behind the head with the elbows pointing upwards. A versatile tie where the tiee can be sitting or laying down in different positions.
Futomomo
A classic tie which places a leg in a folded position, securing and compressing the shin and upper leg with rope
Mermaid tie
A pattern in which the legs are bound tightly together to mimic a mermaid’s tail silhouette, focusing on symmetrical lines and even tension
Prayer tie
A upper body tie that wraps around the chest with the arms in a ""praying"" position, giving the tiee the feeling of a rope hug.
Simple tengu
A chest tie with the wrists near the shoulder and elbows pointing downwards. A highly adaptable tie to different flexibility levels and body types
