How To Host a Great S+ Party

  • Shetlandsgade 3, 1st floor 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

Ever wanted to host your own private play party, but don’t know where to start? Have you already started hosting your own events, but feel like things are not sparking joy the way you want them to? Then this is the workshop for you! Organizing your own private play parties brings a lot of benefits. You can do it exactly the way you want, with the people you want. Take the power of collective pleasure and transformation into your own hands!

In this workshop, we explore the practical and finer points of arranging play parties and other s+ positive events in private spaces. We will give you the tools to organize one yourself, and get you on the path towards making it happen.

We will cover everything from the practicals of how to figure out what you want from an event, writing the right invitation, how to set up the space, and how to transform from a room of nervous people into an amazing evening filled with pleasure and fun.

Some of the workshop will be presentation, but we will also have time to try some of the warm up exercises and to brainstorm and work on your own party concepts to get you started.

We will also talk about how to take care of yourself, so you don’t burn out as the organizer and get to have fun at your own events!

If you have ever been curious about how to hold your own events, but needed a kick in the pants to get going, this is the evening for you!

Note: this event does not cover how to host parties at larger spaces (like House of Play for example), as this is a much more in depth process and beyond the scope of a 3 hour workshop.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This is for anyone who has ever dreamed of holding their own play party, but don’t know how to start, or for anyone needing some inspiration for hosting future play parties. This is not a play event in itself.

CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?

Yes, but we suggest that you are comfortable being in s+ spaces, and have been to a few play parties yourself, so you have an idea of what you are getting into. You definitely don’t have to have ever hosted a play party yourself!

DO I NEED A PARTNER?

You can come alone, in pairs or as a group. We will have talking and sharing in groups, and will practice some of the exercises presented in the workshop, and you will be invited to try them with different people, but everything is an invitation. The exercises are often practical, physical, and hands-on. You are very welcome to come with some people you want to organize a party with!
