Everyday D/s as a Practice

  • Shetlandsgade 3, 1st floor 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

Power exchange doesn't only exist inside scenes. It lives in the small moments.

The coffee made before someone wakes up. The collar hidden beneath a shirt. A kiss on a hand before leaving the house. A simple instruction carried quietly throughout the day. A glance that reminds you who you are to each other. Not scenes. Not performances. Small rituals that make ordinary life deliciously electric and erotic.

Many people discover D/s through intensity. But what often sustains a dynamic over months and years is not the extraordinary. It is the ordinary. Or rather insisting on seeing the possibility of extraordinary moments in ordinary life.

The quiet rituals of power.

The shared agreements of how our responsibilities differ.

The countless small moments that shape how we care for one another, and notice each other.

This afternoon explores how power exchange can move beyond scenes and become a way of relating.

Not as a performance or constant role-play, but as a conscious practice that gently colours everyday life.

Together we investigate how polarity can become something we return to again and again through simple gestures, habits, language, rituals, responsibilities, written agreements, acts of service, and moments of deliberate attention.

  • How do we create a relationship where power is felt without needing to be announced?

  • How do we keep polarity alive in the middle of work, children, dishes, exhaustion, and ordinary Tuesdays?

  • What rituals nourish our dynamic?

  • Which agreements create presence and freedom rather than limitation?

  • How do we keep devotion alive without turning it into obligation?

  • How can our D/s be a way of practicing how we want to be in the world in general, through concepts like generosity, gratitude, beauty, commitment and love?

  • And how do we continue choosing this continuously, day after day?

Throughout the afternoon Jacob and Anso will share their own personal experiences. We will reflect in groups, and ideate around practical ways of bringing D/s into daily life. And each participant or couple will have time to explore how to manifest your personal longings into your daily life in your dynamic or relationship, whether you are already in it or it’s a dream for the future.

Rather than seeking intensity, we explore continuity. Rather than chasing bigger scenes, we ask how small acts of leadership, service, gratitude, responsibility, and care can become the foundations of a deeply satisfying dynamic.

Because sometimes the most powerful act of dominance is consistency.

Sometimes the deepest act of submission is attention, day after day.

And sometimes love reveals itself through the smallest rituals repeated with intention.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This is designed as a couples event but you can also come by yourself.

This evening - and the KNEEL series - is for everyone who is curious about exploring power exchange as more than a dynamic. As a practice. As serious play. As deeply erotic. As a way of cultivating presence, intimacy, and conscious connection. And as a way of exploring who we are as humans and as social beings longing to belong.

THE KNEEL SERIES

This event is part of the KNEEL series by Anso Vela and Jac Fabian: Six immersive workshops, rituals, dinners, and social experiences about power. They are for couples and run from September to December 2026. You can join one, some or all events. Read about the series and all the events here.

CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?

Yes you can. But be aware that the KNEEL series is not a step by step intro to how to play with power series. We explore together and in many different ways. We ask questions and find the answers within ourselves through exercises, play and reflections. You may learn a whole lot about what power exchange is about at its core for you, as we focus a lot on the why and how we bring ourselves more fully into the moments of power.

DO I NEED A PARTNER?

This workshop is designed for couples, but you can also come by yourself.

As the KNEEL series explores how to cultivate a conscious and lasting D/s relationship, you may find it most meaningful to attend with someone you already share—or genuinely wish to develop—that dynamic with. But you are also welcome to attend as two people who just want to help each other at the workshop to investigate what an everyday D/s relationship could look like with the right partner. If you can’t find someone to come with, but you’re dying to attend, then you can come by yourself - and will then have your own process when others work in their couples.

DRESSCODE

There is no specific dresscode for this event, but you’re more than welcome to wear something that contributes to an erotic and warm vibe.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

The KNEEL series is facilitated by Anso Vela and Jac Fabian who have many years of experience with power exchange both as deep, erotic sessions and daily, meaningful practice.

Anso Vela’s (she/her) current artistic work develops spaces where power, intimacy and desire can be explored with awareness and intention. She creates immersive formats that function as laboratories for surrender, authority, trust and responsibility, engaging BDSM as both artistic language and relational inquiry.

Alongside this, her curatorial practice operates across larger cultural frameworks, shaping international collaborations and platforms that examine how art and culture can influence perception, contribute to structural change, and foster connectedness in a fragmented world.

Jac Fabian (he/him) is an experienced rope bondage and kink practitioner who’s been teaching and facilitating BDSM for more than a decade. His focus is the meeting point of perversion, power dynamics, aesthetics, group facilitation and co-creation processes, artistic experimentation, and consciousness. He is the founder and director of House of Play in Copenhagen. Jac has performed in Tokyo, at The Danish Royal Theatre and many other kink and art venues.
