Dynamic Suspen-sions: Gyaku Ebi to Scorpion Transition

  • Shetlandsgade 3, 1st floor 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

In this workshop series experienced Japanese Rope Bondage teacher Jac Fabian teaches some of his favourite dynamic ties.

GYAKU EBI TO SCORPION TRANSITION

This classic Japanese tie is relatively simple to tie with a stunning result, and requires the tiee and rigger to work closely together. The tie puts pressure on the lower back and invites a play with what is possible, a balance between adding tension and taking care. Between devotion and limitation - searching for the beauty of unmasked emotional expression.

We will dynamically transform the Gyaku Ebi into a Scorpion, yet another exquisite tie and position.

THE SERIES

Each of these workshops is a combination of learning a new tie and exploring how to use it to create magic in different ways. The ties are carefully selected to open up for different kinds of playful connection, expressions, body movement, intensity, polarity and beauty.

For the person being tied, this is a good opportunity to get to know your body better, how to take care of yourself in ropes, and to explore your preferences and expressions in being tied.

For the person tying, this is an opportunity to tie with more playfulness, creativity, confidence, safety and skill. And for the two of you a great opportunity for co-creation, deeper connection and better communication.

All the workshops are aimed at rope lovers who have some prior experience with suspensions, see more about the level below. You can join one, more or all of the workshops as you please, and you need to sign up as a couple.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This is both for those who have basic experience with suspensions and the more seasoned rope lovers, looking for more confidence, skill, aesthetics, and refinement in your rope play.

To attend you must have completed our Suspension Basics course or have similar experience, meaning you can tie or be tied in simple suspensions confidently without help.

If you’re tying, you also need to be able to tie a gote (chest tie), single and double column ties, and safely tie suspension uplines.

If you’re being tied, you need to have experience in how your body works and reacts in suspensions. Both of you need to have basic knowledge about nerves and safety in ropes.

If in doubt, please contact us at info@houseofplay.dk.

CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?

No, you need to have taken the Basic Suspension course or have equivalent experience.

DO I NEED A PARTNER?

Yes. You need to sign up as a pair, where one is being tied and the other ties, throughout each workshop.

If you want to join, but don’t have a rope partner, contact us and maybe we can help.

The course is for all genders and sexual orientations.
