Joris is a regular facilitator at IKSK (Berlin) and Zwischenwelten (Zürich), has written two books about consensuality as a culture of authenticity, playfulness and well-meaning. In May 2026 Joris facilitated at House of Play for the first time and we are eager to have them back!
A Penetration Lab
This workshop will give you a great opportunity to consciously and playfully explore the world of penetration in a guided setting. We will look at the topic and dive into bodies in new ways and from new angles.
What is the relationship between inside and outside? How and when do we feel like welcoming someone inside? How do we know we are welcome and how do we like to enter?
There will be lots of communication, fun and pleasure.
Yes, anusses, vaginas and mouths can be part of it, if you choose so. But we will also penetrate armpits, ears, toes and energetic fields. And have you ever heard of muffing (penetrating the testicle canal for pleasure)? We will try it out! So, if you are new to penetration, bored of it, want to re-discover it or just get out of your habits: This workshop is for you!
Penises will not be a main tool of penetration, as we will mostly use fingers.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
This workshop is intended to be for everyone of all genders who wants to play with different qualities, intentions and speed. It is called a „lab“, because it is a space for exploration and feedback. Yes, we want pleasure! And yes, we want to learn!
Trans*, queer and non-binary people are explicitly invited.
If you are a man who is not interested in or at least open to exploring body contact and having conversations about bodies and emotions with other men, this workshop is not for you.
CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?
No prior experience needed
DO I NEED A PARTNER?
You can join with a fixed partner (or more). However, in some initial exercises, you will be asked to do basic explorations with different people. You are also welcome to join alone.
DRESSCODE
Wear something comfortable that you can move around freely in. Perhaps you want to wear layers that can be taken off to reveal different body parts to penetrate.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a big towel, cloth, lunghi or whatever to put underneath you if naked.
TIMES
Doors open 30 minutes before to allow you time to land.
Doors close at 19:00, you may not be permitted entry if you are late.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Joris Kern has started giving workshops around sexuality in 2009, starting with the question "why -even if everybody involved has the best intentions- is it still so difficult to make sure, everybody involved really enjoys a sexual encounter?" and the intention to create spaces where people can explore different aspects of wanting, communicating, feeling, insecurity and all the other ingredients that are part of sexuality and relationships. Joris is a regular facilitator at IKSK (Berlin) and Zwischenwelten (Zürich), has written two books about consensuality as a culture of authenticity, playfulness and well-meaning, teaches pedagogues on sexpositive ways of sex-education, works also as mediator and loves to create spaces that support people to thrive.
