Ground-Training for Hypersensitives

  • Shetlandsgade 3, 1st floor 2300 Copenhagen Denmark (map)

Do you pick up on the emotions of other people very easily and now and then struggle to “stay within yourself”?

Some people are not just empathetic, but so sensitive, that the states of mind of others seems to seep in directly. In fact being hypersensitive can feel like walking the earth without a skin: Energies and moods are absorbed unfiltered.

This capacity to sense more than most allows us to really experience and connect deeply with others. However, hyper sensitive people are also at risk of becoming either too influenced by what we pick up or shutting down due to overload.

To get the best out of a super alert nervous system we must be able to look out for ourselves everywhere we go. This is particularly relevant in open environments such as House of Play, where boundaries can be challenged and intimate connections explored.

Ground-training for hyper sensitives is a 4-hour workshop on raising awareness and obtaining strategies on how to avoid becoming overstimulated and depleted. The training is based on physical experiment, introspection and movement. At the workshop we establish a flexible readiness that allows us to remain empathetic without being inappropriately affected or overwhelmed.

Among like-minded people you will explore how to:

  • Bring home your attention

  • Protect your energy

  • Recharge

  • Ground yourself in turbulent surroundings

  • Cleanse yourself of other people's energy

  • Distinguish between that which is your responsibility and that which is someone else's business

WHO IS THIS FOR?

People of all genders and ages who recognise themselves as being hypersensitive to energies and the feelings and needs of others: Adult children of alcoholics, neurodivergent people and all other particularly sensitive beings.

While this space offers great tools that can be transformational for hyper sensitive beings, this is not therapy and so if you suffer from severe psychological or physical conditions that contribute to your hypersensitivity, this might not be the right space for you and we encourage you to seek support elsewhere.
