Welcome to the Awakening Pleasure Series

Many of us move through life so quickly that slowing down can feel strange or even uncomfortable. In this series, we take a different pace – the pace of the body. Together we explore one area of the vulva at a time, with guided exercises that help you listen inwardly, notice subtle sensations, and invite you to reconnect with your own pleasure.
These gatherings are quiet, introspective, and slow; not performative or goal-oriented.

Across three monthly evenings, we’ll gently meet areas of tension, numbness, or overwhelm; get curious about what your body is communicating; and rebuild trust with your own rhythms. Each session stands alone, and you’re welcome to join one or all.

Arousal as a Flavour

Arousal is not just about what happens in the genitals – it’s an entire-body, whole-being process. In many of our lives, arousal has become rushed, goal-focused, or shut down by stress, shame, or past experiences.

In this session, we explore arousal as a flavour: something you can cultivate, tend to, and play with over time. Drawing on teachings Anke has gathered over the years, we’ll weave together movement, breath, sound, touch and awareness to open more space for pleasure and aliveness in your body.

You’ll be guided through a self-pleasure practice focused on self-care rather than performance. We’ll use different qualities of touch (nurturing, sensual, devotional), breathwork, and sound – and you’re always invited to adapt, pause, or simply witness your own body.

This session is for you if you want to deepen your relationship with your own arousal, explore pleasure beyond “just getting off,” and meet both your desire and your armour with respect.

PRACTICALITIES

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • A slow pace
    You’ll be guided step by step, with time to pause, feel, and follow your own pace.

  • Guided self-touch
    Simple techniques to help soften tension, increase awareness, and reconnect with sensation. We will specifically use a technique called soft self-de-armouring.

  • Supportive group atmosphere
    Practising alongside others – each person in their own space – can create a sense of belonging and ease: “We’re in this together!”
    Everyone will focus on their own body and their own space.

  • No expected outcomes
    Some people feel more sensitivity or emotional shifts. Others feel very little at first. All of it is welcome.

  • Choice at every step
    You decide how much you engage and what feels right for your body on the day.

This Is for You If…

  • You’re curious to explore your body at a slower pace.

  • You want to build or rebuild trust and connection with yourself.

  • You’re open to staying present even if nothing intense or dramatic happens.

  • You value a consent-centered, non-judgmental space with others on a similar journey.

  • You’re ready to engage in self-touch in a group setting. 

This Is Not for You If…

  • You’re looking for a quick fix or guaranteed results.

  • You feel unable to stay present if things feel too slow or too subtle.

  • You’re not ready for a longer, ongoing relationship with your own body and boundaries.

WHO IS THIS FOR

Vulva owners ready to explore sensuality and sensitivity in a communal setting. You are willing to practice self‑touch alongside others and can self‑regulate emotionally; the facilitator will guide but this is a self‑development space, not therapy.

No experience in de-armouring required. 

Health & Safety – Participation is not suitable if you are pregnant, have active infections or outbreaks, severe unresolved psychological trauma, psychosis, or serious physical illness. When in doubt, reach out.

DRESS CODE

  • Wear something comfortable that makes you feel safe and/or sensual. 

  • If you’d prefer extra coverage, a dress or skirt that allows easy access without exposing too much is recommended.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Body‑friendly oil or lube to support comfort and sensation.

  • Water bottle with lid.

  • Towels or blankets (e.g., sheep skin, sarong, fleece blanket, yoga mat) to create your intentional, cozy space to lay on. You might want to bring an extra blanket to cover yourself with if you wish to be (partially) naked.

  • Bring a journal & pen.

  • Optional: Blindfold for deeper inward focus.

  • Optional: Glass wand or dildo to support precise internal mapping and de-armouring. If you already have one, you’re welcome to bring it along. If you’d like recommendations for body-safe options, you can contact Anke.

Anke Van Mullem (she/her)
